Details: SUMMARY: Fish Screen Investigation DETAILS: The WD owns and operates a Surface Water system. The Dist. supplies water to 375 full-time residents through 750 connections. This includes services to the communities of Oceanside and Cape Meares. The high number of second homes accounts for the low resident to connection ratio. The Districts treats water from Short Cr. through a packaged rapid sand filter plant. Water is pumped from the clearwell to two separate reservoirs.The dist. has been informed that a fish screen is needed on their Short Cr. Intake. HBH was contacted by Mr. Tuckey for assistance w/this matter.Inspected intake site (travel time associated w/Crypto testing) and provided advice regarding possible placement within intake pool. Followed up w/invested parties regarding potential screen installation requirements. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to assist WD as requested on this matter.
