| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform violation and MCL DETAILS: Spoke with Mike over the phone. He already received word of the positive coliform sample on 4/11 and they took the 4 repeats on 4/12. He was aware the 4 samples also tested positive. I had spent a great deal of time with the system during spring 2012 about what to-do in this situation and system was well prepared to take action. They took 4 repeats as required within a 24hr time frame and after receipt of the 4 positive samples on 4/12 the system immediately shock chlorinated the system that night and let it sit overnight. The system was then flushed on Saturday 4/13. The attached Public Notice (PN) will be posted per the requirements. Mike also indicated instead of waiting until May to take the 5 additional routine samples thy may take a sample now and label it special in order to see if the shock chlorination was effective or not. The system is now taking corrective action to address this issue. ACTION NEEDED: Distribute attached PN, take 5 routine samples in May 2013 | ||
