| Details: | SUMMARY: call regarding the online posting of the annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) DETAILS: Ron phoned because he wanted to make sure what they have done is compliant with the new federal regulations for the electronic publishing of a CCR. We had previously spoken in March (I believe) about the new allowance for providing this annual report electronically, and I had given him the criteria. Today, he gave me the URL over the phone, I typed it in, and it led to another webpage where you had to open a link rather than directly to the CCR. EPA requires that the URL given to the public lead directly to the report. So I suggested that they convert their CCR from a Word document to a .pdf, determine the URL that will automatically open that .pdf, and provide that URL to the public. He will look into it. Meanwhile, he says he plans to put the (revised) URL link to the CCR in bill enclosures to all customers, and in the newspaper, and of course on their website. All these location will state that the consumer can also obtain a hardcopy by either coming by their office or contacting them to have one mailed out. ACTION NEEDED: Ron will see that the posting of the CCR online is adjusted so that it will open (presumably as a .pdf) directly from a URL, and use that URL when relaying the electronic posting of the CCR to the pubic. | ||
