| Details: | SUMMARY: 2006 Master Plan Update - Inadequate DETAILS: Discussions occurred with the City relating to the status of their 1995 Water Master Plan following my WSS of the water system performed in late May of 2013. I indicated in my report that they need to ensure that they have a current Master Plan in place on or before their current Master Plan expires (2015). In response, Dale provided a copy of an undate to their 1995 Master Plan entitled "Nehalem Water Master Plan - Update 2006" prepared by HLB Otak, Inc. Further research into this matter found a copy of an email exhange with the City of Nehalem dated 1/6/11 in which the City acknowledges that the 2006 update was an inadequate plan since the existing water system was not properly represented (many improvements had been completed), and the Capital Improvement Plan was "seriously outdated". Therefore, the City must prepare a new Master Plan reflecting current conditions of the system, and with current longterm planning information. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for submittal of new Master Plan before expiration of old master plan in 2015. | ||
