Details: SUMMARY: Alert: LEAD 90TH % VALUE DETAILS: Contacted Mr Reasoner and followed up with letter below. The Lead exceeded the action levels on four out of five samples. You stated a few of the sample locations were not used regularly. If sites are not routinely used, they should be flushed for up to eight hours and than let sand over night prior to sampling. The samples should have been representative of the system. ACTION NEEDED: We are requiring the system to do the following tests no later than August 30, 2013.1. Two rounds (one right away and one two weeks later) of water quality parameter testing (pH, alkalinity, and calcium) from the well and in the distribution system (one location for = 500 people). A calibratable, temperature-compensating, electrode-type pH meter must be used and calibrated before each reading. The pH must be done in the field since the pH is the measure of corrosiveness of the water.2. Collect a Lead &Cooper sample from the well.June 23, 2013 Mr. Tom Reasoner1 Abby DRSt. Benedictine, OR 97373RE: Lead Exceedance in SamplingDear Mr. Reasoner:Mt.
