| Details: | SUMMARY: Three repeat samples and the triggered source sample are coliform positive. Coliform MCL violation DETAILS: Spoke to Caroline on the phone about the positive repeat coliform samples and positve triggered source sample. She was informed that the system would receive an MCL violation and a public notice would be required. She sent a letter that she supplies to the residents. It did not include all of the language in the unresolved public notice. I sent her an electronic copy of the unresolved public notice template and asked her to compare and contrast the language in both documents. I have not received a response and will contact her. She believes that the pump replacment in the well is the issue. She stated that the pump had issues with iron bacteria. She stated that she was going to have a contractor shock chlorinate the well. We discussed taking a special sample to confirm that the shock chlorination was successful. We also discussed the requirement to take five temporary routine samples in August. ACTION NEEDED: Make contact with Caroline about the public notice requirement, shock chlorination and results of any special samples taken. Watch for result of required August samples. | ||
