| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Order issued DETAILS: Received results of four repeat samples collected 8/21 in the distribution. One sample collected from a fire hydrant at the corner of Hwy 82 and Cole tested present for total coliform. While samples collected from hydrants would normally not be used, there was no allowance for invalidating the result. Thus the criteria for an acute violation were met and a boil water order was issued. Drafted public notice and sent it to the city recorder. Notice to be provided to local radio station for on-air announcement. Called Wallowa County Public Health office to advise them of the boil order. Advised Shawn to raise the chlorine residual in the system and collect five more distribution samples in order for the boil order to be lifted. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to distribute public notice, send dated copy to DWS, collect additional samples to lift boil order. | ||
