| Details: | SUMMARY: MCL- 2 routine total coliform positive for sample date 8-7-13 DETAILS: I contacted the operator to let him know that they had two total coliform positive samples on 8-7-13. I reminded Curt that he only needed to do one sample per month. I also let him know that there was no need to take repeat samples since they already had two coliform positive & they were an MCL. I let him know that they need to distribute a total coliform public notice. He indicated that they already issued a boil notice. I let him know that he could do that but that isnt a requirement from the health dept. He would check the chlorination system. Both source samples came back absent for coliform on the same date system is already on monthly source monitoring for GWUDI). I asked Curt to send me a copy of the public notice to this office & I could forward it to DWS. I let him know he could lift the voluntary boil & be sure to take 5 temp routine samples in the distribution for Sept. ACTION NEEDED: obtain public notice | ||
