Details: SUMMARY: L?C violation and sampling schedule DETAILS: Paul contacted me wanting to find out why he received a violation. He thought they were back to a 3year schedule. The system had a lead exceedance in Aug 2009. They then installed corrosion control treatment. They had a hard time maintaining the pH high enough so they kept getting L?C excursions which is why I sent in a chem monitoring change form in Feb 2013 for 6 month schedule. The system requested the minimum pH be lowered but Jay M wanted several rounds of L/C results that were ok before he did so. The system completed three rounds of L/C results between 2011 and 2013 that were all below 0.005 Lead and 0.65 copper. On Feb 20, 2013 Jay reduced their minimum pH to 6.7. All of the excursions were due to pH readings between 6.7 and 7.0 At this point it doesnt look like I needed to put them on a 6 month sampling schedule so I have sent in a request to have violation 903461209 removed. I also sent in a new chem change form so the system can go back to sampling every 3 years. The next L/C samples will be due in 2016 ACTION NEEDED: none
