Details: SUMMARY: Loss of pressure boil water DETAILS: I received a phone call 8:30 PM on 1-19-14 stating that Dintys Market in Biggs had run out of water due to their supply drying up. I spoke with the owner and the manager regarding the supply to the Restaurant. The Spring was thought to have been effected by heavy construction traffic from ODOT construction project that is removing water across from the Spring and hauling it to the 97 & US HWY 84 Junction.This supply now delivers water to their own facility of Lindas Restaurant which also contains a small Subway, they also supply water to a DOA licensed facility Dintys--and a Motel. Water is also supplied to a Circle K gas station and mini -mart.I inspected the water system on Thursday the 20th and the spring was still not keeping up with the demand, water was to be hauled by Bishop Sanitation and dropped directly into the 22,000gal reservoir. I supplied the Water Hauling Guidelines to Ed Hollbrook- owner of Bishop Sanitation Inc. Water samples were taken prior to any water being used -- the system was not chlorinated in the distribution or at the Spring and results on Friday were all Negative. I approved the licensed facilities to open back up. Subsequent sampling with water samples in distribution with a chlorine residual and raw spring water were all negative for coliforms. 2-24-14 Water is at a 1ppm Cl residual. Spring is being observed to see if it can keep up with demand. ACTION NEEDED: Evaluate the spring-- I have made many follow-up contacts with the facility that are not all documented.
