| Details: | SUMMARY: Respond to E Coli and TC positive DETAILS: I called Rae Sehl and informed her of the positive for E. Coli and TC. The system has been operating normally but the creek has been cloudy because of the rain. She immediately said she would issue a Boil Water Notice. I told her that she needed to take 4 repeat samples within 24 hours. She said that was not possible because she is 2 hours away from the lab, did not have the sample bottles and could not take the samples to the lab (it was about 2:30pm- she had not answered her phone all day). I discussed this with Pete Farrelly and we decided that if Rae issued a PN she could wait and take the samples next week. I sent her the template. Rae will shock chlorinate and clean the system ASAP. She will wait until the chlorine has returned to normal levels (2.5ppm) before taking the repeat samples. I told her that this was considered an "unconfirmed" E. COLI occurrence. I also told her that an E. COLI positive is more serious than her previous positive TC results. ACTION NEEDED: Follow-up with Rae after the results are in. Discuss the system with management - they are a SW system but have no filtration. | ||
