Details: SUMMARY: Six month sample round for lead above 90th % value at .095 DETAILS: Spoke to Patricia about the recent sample round. They are measuring Orthophosphate as required. The phosphate tank is depleting and being refreshed with new product. I asked them to test phosphate levels in the class rooms that tested high to verify that it is getting into the distribution system. That testing indicated phosphate was in the system. She indicated that they have been regularly flushing all areas of school and they have not had any excursions on there entry point sampling reports. She indicated that they understood the first draw protocols. It is difficult to determine why these areas are testing high. Most fixtures in the school have been replaced with ultra low lead, water fountains have been shut off . They continue to use bottled water for drinking purposes. It is interesting to note that two of the five samples returned with no detections. We discussed that the school has hired a full time operations and maintenance manger who has become small water system certified. He starts full time very soon and will be working with HBH to problem solve the issue. They have also been consulting OAWU. The school will remain on a six month sampling schedule until two rounds are below the action level. Public education was provided to parents and staff in January. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to monitor entry point phosphate sampling, continue problem solving using available resources, continue to monitor six month sample rounds.
