Details: SUMMARY: Alert for DBP result DETAILS: Spoke with Terry today regarding the 3/27/14 high DBP sample result for HAA5 of 0.0758 mg/L. Terry said he hasnt been able to flush the distribution system for a while since he had shoulder surgery and he thinks that is the cause for the high result. I did speak with him about lowering the chlorine residual but he said he cant without loosing a detectable residual at the far ends of the distribution system. He doesnt think it could be how they manage the the reservoir volume either. I let him know that compliance for DBPs is determined on a running annual average so if the next couple quarters are low there shouldnt be any compliance problems. Reminded him of what month to sample for DBPs so that a reduction could be possible after four quarters collected in correct month. ACTION NEEDED: collect DBPs quarterly in Jan, April, July, Oct.

Associated Alerts: CHEM6258 - 04/10/2014 - TOTAL HALOACETIC ACIDS (HAA5)
