| Details: | SUMMARY: Status on new well plan review DETAILS: Loon Lake Lodge called to find out the status of plan review on the proposed new well. They would like to install a well and have it operational before July 4th weekend. I informed Miles that DWS could not provide approval at this time, in part because no cross-section design for the well had been submitted. However, the drilling company is known to be aware of public drinking water well requirements and they should be told the well is for public drinking water. I said that at least 18 feet of surface seal is needed. I provided a reminder that encountering confined conditions requires sealing into the confining layer. I said a public water system may install infrastructure without approval from DWS at its own risk. Also added that there is the possibility that plan review will note a requirement that was not in the plans. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
