| Details: | SUMMARY: Newest test results still EC positive-- remain on boil notice DETAILS: Received today the required copy of the Tier 1 Public Notice dated June 19th. Jymme said in that email that both her regular water sampler (Eric from Grants Pass Lab) AND the well driller/pump person they have contacted will be coming next week. With their assistance, she plans to get the wellhead sealed up tight-- then she can shock chlorinate and sample again. Meanwhile, I received notice that 3 samples taken July 8th were positive for EC (after her first shock chlorination and caulking efforts at the wellhead). I made a call to the store & Jymmes cell number (left messages both places), and also to their lab, saying they need to remain on the Boil Notice till the fixes are done and they have test results showing absence of fecal coliform. Meanwhile, I phoned Lake County Public Health so they could check what type of food service might be at this location (make sandwiches?) and enforce the Tier 1 water notice restrictions on that food service. ACTION NEEDED: Adel Store must remain on a boil water notice for the forseeable future. After the wellhead consultations next week, the owner will inform us what actions they will take (and when) so that the seal becomes watertight and sanitary. Once those wellhead corrections are made, they will need to disinfect the water system again and take more samples. | ||
