| Details: | SUMMARY: routine total coliform positive for sample date 7/28/14 DETAILS: The operator contacted me to let me know that one of repeat samples came back total coliform positive. The repeat sample that came back total coliform positive was at the same address (58972 Ward Dr). I asked the operator if he knew why this particular address would be having total coliform detections. He needed to contacted the owner of the house & would get back to me. He called back to let me know that he likely knew why the house was having coliform detections. The address had a leak about a week ago between the meter & the home. The home owner hired a plumber to dig up & repair the leak. The operator felt that this was the likely cause of the coliform positive. I told him that I would send the State an email requesting an invalidation of the positive samples. I also contacted James Nusrala, PE at DWS to help figure out how many samples they needed before the end of the month to avoid an M&R violation. I let him know they would need an additional routine & repeat to replace the two that were being invalidated. ACTION NEEDED: Send DWS an email requesting invalidation. | ||
