| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert follow up for positive repeats DETAILS: Quarterly sample positive for total coliform (not e.coli). Called and discuss resampling locations and timelines with Katy. Initial sample take to lab on Thursday 9/18. Sample results left of voicemail of Katy on Friday, but Katy and family out of town. Listened to message on Monday 9/22 and took three repeat samples-- one from raw water sample tap, one from North blow out valve and one from South blow off valve. She was unsure of where to take a 4th sample. The system is very old and delivers water from the system into individual cisterns for each residence. ACTION NEEDED: Discussed briefly that the water system may have to be batch chlorinated if triggered resamples come back positive. No need for public notice yet, but check O & M for sample flier if needed. Send out public notice within 30 days and get copy to me if required. Develop two other sampling locations within the middle of the system, one downstream north of well and one downstream south of well. This will require cutting in a sampling port on the delivery line after the water meter but before the house cistern. Plan to take 5 repeat samples for October 2014. | ||
