Details: SUMMARY: Monitoring data not showing up on Data Online, resulting violations DETAILS: Contacted the water system recently because, although I received the "re-test" results (late December) from the 2 locations that had tested high for arsenic in late November, I could not find the first/original set of results on Data Online. That would have been their 18 required arsenic samples for 2014. Also noticed that they got a violation for not submitting DBP results before the end of 2014. This all seemed curious, since Keith had been in communication with me at the time about both the MCL exceedance for arsenic, the required PN, and we had also corresponded about the DBP samples required by end of year. Keith responded yesterday that all these samples were indeed taken, and that the lab told him they were submitted properly. Spoke to Kris at Spring Street Lab yesterday-- she attested that these results were faxed to DMCE on time. She also agreed to scan these test results and email them to DMCE now. Today, Chuck Michael said they received the new set of scanned results from the lab and will enter the full set of As and DBP results. I phoned Keith back to let him know. Keith will take quarterly As samples this year at the two locations that exceeded in December. I also advised him that he should consider taking an Asbestos sample soon. Though that deadline is a ways off, a violation still remains from 4 years ago (for not taking an Asbestos sample during the last multi-year monitoring period). Taking one now would allow that old violation to be resolved. ACTION NEEDED: DMCE will determine what happened in the reporting of these chemical results in December. If Spring Street Analytical cannot demonstrate that these test results were faxed on time, the "late reporting" violations will stand - 1 point for Arsenic, 1 point for DBPs.
