| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrates greater than 50% MCL DETAILS: Mr. Hilkey contacted me 1/5/15 to request not having to perform quarterly monitoring for nitrates based upon the water systems history. I informed Mr.Hilkey that I had already spoken with Scott Curry based upon a contact report dated 8/9/13 I had located in SDWIS and that Mr. Curry informed me the system must conduct the quarterly nitrate monitoring pursuant to applicable results. He requested I speak with Mr. Curry again. Mr. Curry returned to work today and I informed him of Mr. Hilkeys request . He checked with management and was told that the system must perform the testing pursuant to the rule. I informed Mr. Hilkey of this and he said he will perform the tests as directed but plans to contast it in the future if he is required to continue quarterly monitoring. He asked if there was someone with the state that he could speak with and I offered to provide him with contact information. He said he could locate it without my assistance. ACTION NEEDED: Begin quarterly monitoring for nitrates. | ||
