| Details: | SUMMARY: COLI13806 12/29/14 source sample results e coli DETAILS: Spring 5 has a new flowing stream that has broke out immediately below the spring collection area & the 3 plus deep port used for sample collection showed little flow. -Operator considering turning this spring "off" after collecting next weeks samples.-Sealing 2 archaic spring collection devices in vicinty of springs 4 & 5 and noted in 7/22/14 letter has been done. A new relic was identified and operator not 100% sure if this has been completely sealed, but questions if t Noted that e. coli was previously found in sources 1 (AA) and 3 (AC) on 9/12/13 and confirmed in the same two sources on 9/23/13. Since then corrective actions required in 7/22/14 letter have been addressed EXCEPT sure means to collect a valid source sample from each spring and drain for spring box 1. Randy said he was concerned with potential of sample bottle contamination at least at spring 5 and though less likely other sample sites on 12/29. Expecting results are presumed to be valid, follow up sampling for each spring includes: spring 1- eleven more months of coliform sampling-- spring 3- twelve months of MPA sampling and springs 2, 4,5 and 6 five e coli confirmation samples from each. ACTION NEEDED: I told Randy that if I communicated with DWS staff on Monday Id try and communicate any insights that I might be helpful to the board for Bridge Water - meeting Monday (1/5/15) evening. Spring 1. Continue monthly total coliform sampling.Spring 3. Commence MPA sampling.Springs 2, 4, 5 and 6. Collect 5 samples from each source. | ||
