Details: SUMMARY: One repeat sample coliform positive DETAILS: Gary Watts reported that the sample taken at 2422 Molly Court returned positive. Gary spoke to Kirby Miller and discovered that well #5 had been turned off and that well #10 was actually in service. When I spoke to Kirby Miller he reported that a home owner over used water in the storage tank to water a newly seeded lawn and that his home and two other where using well #5 but the other homes were using well #10. It appeared that the system may have 17 connection not 13. A schematic drawing was found in the file from a survey done in 2008 by John Potts who was working part time for Benton County to survey NS systems. It showed that there are 17 connections but four of the lots are undeveloped. I confirmed that the lots are in fact still vacant with Mr. Miller. I spoke to Gary about taking a source sample at well #5 and then taking a special sample at Molly Court as the repeat samples upstream and down stream of that address were absent for coliform. We spoke about considering shocking the water system if the special sample returned positive for Molly Court. Gary was reminded that 5 temporary routine distribution samples need to be taken in August. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of the source sample for well #10 and the special sample at 2422 Molly Court. Contact Gary to confirm what actions might be taken. Wait for results of the temporary routine distribution samples in August. File a change of information report as Mr. Miller no longer has the land line listed but only a cell phone.
