| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to chlorobenzene detect - Reservoir #1 outlet DETAILS: Derrick and I discussed the 0.0007 mg/L detect of chlorobenzene at the reservoir outlet. The result is greater than the detection limit of 0.0005 mg/L, but less than the MCL of 0.10 mg/L. Four quarterly samples for chlorobenzene have been collected since the initial detect at the tank outlet in 3rd quarter 2014. Since the results are reliably and consistently below the MCL, monitoring for chlorobenzene may be reduced to once annually with the next sample due with the next round of VOCs at tank outlet. The City will report the detectable quantity of the constituent in the 2015 consumer confidence report. The City is considering re-lining the reservoir in the near future, as the existing tank lining may be the source of the detection. ACTION NEEDED: City to continue annual monitoring for VOCs from reservoir #1 outlet. | ||
