Details: SUMMARY: Discussed penalty warning letter DETAILS: Charlotte called in response to receiving the letter notifying her of possible civil penalties for failing to correct the non-watertight water storage tank at the Bolder City water system. She stated she did not know exactly what needed to be repaired and after talking to Mike Oberaigner at Jackson County I informed Charlotte of the nature of the problem with the cover on the xisting reservoir and lack of a watertight seal between the wood frame and sheet metal cover. We discussed replacing the tank, replacing the building around the tank or repairing the tank. ACTION NEEDED: Charlotte will send an email or letter to DWS identifying their construction timeline for repairing the tank and correcting the deficiency. If the timeline is reasonable I stated DWS will not pursue penalties during the construction process.
