| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform MCL DETAILS: Spoke with Frank today that two routine distribution samples and a source water sample collected at Well #2 (SRC-AA) on November 3rd were total coliform positive. Two routine positive samples exceeds the total coliform MCL requiring a 30-day public notice. Frank thinks the problem is with Well #2 but it cannot be taken offline until the new well is drilled and Well #1 (SRC-CA) is turned back on. He is working with Avion Water Company (contracted services) to evaluate the extent of coliform and corrective action. On November 10th, I received an update from Frank. Avion is assisting the system to correct the coliform issue. Chlorine equipment is being purchased to improve ability to disinfect the entire distribution system. Well #4 (SRC-AC a.k.a. Well #1) will be back on line in early December once drilling of the new well is completed. Public notice will be delivered to customers in the November 28th billing. ACTION NEEDED: Public notice to customers within 30 days of violation is required. Five follow-up routine samples are due in December. |
