Details: SUMMARY: : Firm received a nitrate test result at 3X MCL. Technician for nitrate abatement system called and explained that wrong resin was being used and that the system has been repaired to funtion properly. A sample is to be collected by the firm ASAP to verify. Public notice is required . The notice should also include the specific dates for past results that exceeded the MCL DETAILS: The firm has been sent a public notice to post. The notice includes the dates of the past excursions beyond the MCL and the fact that the annual average for results is above the MCL. The public notice is to remain in effect until the average for the rollingyear falls below the MCL of 10. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to collect monthly nitrate samples and maintain posting of public notice . Aphoto of the posted notice at the facility need to be provided.
