Details: SUMMARY: Lead action level exceedance DETAILS: Portland Water Bureau and its purchasers that participate in the Lead Copper Joint Monitoring Plan exceeded the lead action level of 0.015 mg/L during the last 6-month round of testing conducted October 2016, specifically the 90th percentile results were 0.0174 mg/L. Information sent to the water systems this date regarding their responsibilities to provide public education to their users and others in the community. ACTION NEEDED: System needs to complete public education requirements by March 1, 2017, report to DWS by March 10, 2017, that all requirements were completed, and continue them as long as the lead action level is exceeded. 1/25/17: DWS approved a letter from the City outlining that the City has satisfied all public education requriements associated with the fall 2016 lead action level exceedance.
