Details: SUMMARY: Lead and Copper Samples Taken in September and October 2016 Exceeded the MCL for Copper DETAILS: Talked to Silas Olson. Of 9 lead and copper samples taken in September 2016, 1 sample exceeded the MCL for copper. Then, 5 samples were taken October 12-- 3 of those exceeded the MCL for copper. Hiland WC has a contract with a local company to maintain the calcite contactor. Apparently the company failed to maintain the contactor. Hiland WC assumed that the contactor had been worked on when they took the lead and copper samples. The assumption is that the concentration of copper will go down once the contactor has been serviced. They are in the process of working on it. ACTION NEEDED: None.
