Details: SUMMARY: No Use of Soda Ash DETAILS: Warren called after receiving letter from DWS (dated 5-15-17) requiring the pws to set a minimum alkalinity level relative to soda ash for corrosion control. He asked if he could ignore the letter and if DWS could update info as soda ash has not been used for 10 years (since 2005 when they switched to well 3).As the 2012 system survey shows no indication of soda ash use, I said I would request update of records. Though soda ash may have been used for [corrosion control] aesthetics, Pb/Cu sample data does not appear it was used for compliance with the lead & copper rule. ACTION NEEDED: Request update of dws records.
