| Details: | SUMMARY: new action plan and timeline DETAILS: Mailed a letter today with new corrective action timeline for installing surface water treatment and interim steps. Also included a Tier 2 public notice template because they will miss the original installation deadline (10/5/17). A condition of the extension is that they submit a surface water treatment form each month showing a turbidity level and that they meet the CT disinfection standard each day. Ed already ordered the turbidimeter, pH meter and thermometer, but not the calibrating standards for the first two. Informed him he would need those ASAP. The email contact for the District is treasurer Daniel Horner. I emailed Daniel an electronic copy of the letter and public notice template, then also emailed him the July letter about how to fill out the monthly surface water treatment form and the Excel version of the form itself. Rob Henry (HBH Engineering) said today that he will run through the daily monitoring procedures when he meets with the District board on October 2nd. They have just submitted an LOI for SRF funding for the new surface water plant. ACTION NEEDED: Water District needs to obtain the needed meters and calibrating standards, and begin submitting a completed surface water treatment form each month. | ||
