Details: SUMMARY: Water Quality Alert DETAILS: Conducted an onsite informal investigation and training with Dawna McLain at Eddyville Charter School on 10/19/2017 on use of pH meter and calibration. Conducted evaluation of pump room.It was determined that the pH meter used for testing was not calibrated. School and EH are both using the HACH pocket pro pH meter. Inspector calibrated meter both in office and again on site with Dawna using 7.0, 4.0 and 10.0 buffering solution. Inspector left calibrated HACH meter for use until facility meter can be effectivily calibrated.Testing samples were taken at WELL:pH 6.8Alkalinity 80 ppmtemperature 61.3 FTesting samples taken after CHLORINE TREATMENT:pH 7.4Alkalinity 110 ppmChlorine 3.4 ppmtemperature 58.6 FTesting samples taken at staff room sink were:pH 7.1Alkalinity 110 ppmTemperature 61 FChlorine 2.6 ppmChlorine was changed in pump room on 9/28, filters were changed for 5, and 25 micron filters were changed on 10/17/2017.Verified chlorine tablets for HACH chlorine meter were not expired. ACTION NEEDED: Monday 10/23/2017 will collect pH, chlorine, Alkalinity, temperature data from lead and copper testing sample sites.
