| Details: | SUMMARY: Total Coliform Positive After Positive E.coli in the Distribution DETAILS: Spoke with Mike about progress over the weekend. It appears that City Hall may be the only building in town affected, no known leaks or damage to building plumbing. They have examined the outside of the building looking for leaks and will monitor the water meter to see if there is an excessive water flow. They have raised the chlorine residual from 0.1 to 0.25. It is our recommendation they maintain 0.2 chlorine residual as their baseline. Reminded Mike to report residual on ALL water samples turned in for sampling. If samples pulled today still have TC will increase residual to 0.5 until further testing. Filters and screens were removed from the faucets used for sampling. They have a waste water treatment lab on site and will have tandum samples they can monitor and will use those samples to increase chlorine if needed. They understand those samples are not regulatory but informational only. They have the Public Notice in place and have heard from only one individual about illness. ACTION NEEDED: Boil water in effect until clean samples are obtained. | ||
