Details: SUMMARY: Total coliform positive sample taken 3-9-18 DETAILS: I received a call from Cindy Hammond regarding a letter our office sent requesting a Level 1 Coliform investigation due to insufficient repeat samples being submitted for a postive sample on March 9, 2018. I called Umpqua Research lab in Myrtle Creek and they had reported the missing repeat sample and triggered source water sample (both taken 3-14-18) to our office on 3-26-18. Since all repeat samples and a triggered source sample were done, a Level 1 investigation will not be required. The violation for not reporting a triggered source water sample will also be returned to compliance. The system is on monthly coliform sampling for at least 1 year (until January 2019) due to two monitoring violations which occurred in 2017, therefore, only 1 routine sample will be required in April 2018. In summary, 1 routine sample needs to be collected for the months of April 2018 - January 2019 at which time the system may be eligible to go back to quarterly sampling with approval from Douglas County. Cindy also requested a contact change to Ray Selbert at 541-670-9676. ACTION NEEDED: System to resume monthly coliform sampling. In summary, 1 routine sample needs to be collected for the months of April 2018 - January 2019 at which time the system may be eligible to go back to quarterly sampling with approval from Douglas County.
