| Details: | A contractor digging in the intersection of NW E and Dimmick Streets cause a 12-inch water main to violently leak resulting in loss of system pressure to 22 services connections. The leak was isolated and pressure restored. The size of leak caused three low level reservoirs to drain at high rate causing dirty water complaints. Flushing is ongoing and chlorine residual levels are being monitored. Samples will be collected today. The boil water notice is being issued to some 9000 connections by press release and information posted on Citys website. Sample results will determine if the boil water is lifted. Lifted 10/18/2022: The City of Grants Pass has made necessary repairs to its rupture 12-inch water main and restored normal operating pressure to its distribution system. The City has performed necessary sampling and all samples have come back absent for applicable pathogen contamination. The City of Grants pass has lifted its boil water advisory to all affected areas. |
