| Details: | Craig reported via email that the City of Grants Pass will once again be issuing a precautionary boil water advisory for the residents of SE Hilltop Drive and SE Hilltop View. At approximately 1200 hrs on 04.30.2023, the Hilltop pump station lost power and the emergency generator failed to start. Water Treatment Staff are currently at the pump station trying to either restore power or get the generator to start. Water Distribution staff are currently hand delivering the precautionary boil water advisory notices, turning off water services, and speaking with the residents regarding the situation and steps to resolving this issue. Once pressure is restored, Distribution staff will be flushing out the water main and then turning on the customers water services. Samples will be taken, and arrangements are being made for the Grants Pass Water Lab staff to come in and receive them today. Lab test results are expected on 5.01.2023. Lifted 05/01/2023: Craig reported that the lab test results came back absent of coliform contamination. Staff is currently delivering notices to customers informing them that the boil water advisory has been lifted. |
