| Details: | Craig Kuhnert reported today that the City of Grants Pass is issuing a partial boil water advisory today. A contractor broke a 2-inch cast iron water main on NE Clyde Place in Grants Pass. The incident caused a complete loss of pressure that affected 9 properties. Upon arrival staff shut off all water meters in the impacted service aera. The water main was repaired within an hour and then flushed out. Staff are flushing each individual water service line and water samples have been collected. Lab results are expected within 24 hours. Boil water notices will be hand delivered to each of the impacted properties. No food service or licensed facility impacted. Language access services were not needed. Lifted 07/21/2023: 07.21.2023-Craig reported that the lab test results came back absent of bacteriological contamination. Staff are going to hand deliver the notices informing customers that the boil water advisory will be lifted. |
