Details: | Whaleshead management reported that there is a leak identified under the hillside retaining wall near B2. The water will be shut off to the lower sections of the park, specifically: sections A, B, C, EL, M and OL. An excavator will be on site digging up the area around B2. Management is not sure how long it will take to fix the leak. Customers will be notified when the leak is fix and water sample results show absence of bacterial contamination. Update 07/15/2024: The operator onsite clarified the causes of the boil advisory. The system experienced a drawdown event at the Clearwell that lead to a loss of pressure in the distribution system. Maintenance was being done on a gravity feed line that did not have a shut-off valve. The operator ended up having to drain the entire clear well in order to install a shut-off valve on the gravity feed line. Additional shut-off valves were installed on other lines serving the lower section of the park. Water was hauled in from an outside source by hauler ID No. 270004. The additional shut-off valves are expected to minimize future service disruptions for unaffected customers and helps contain potential hazards. Lifted 07/19/2024: Repairs completed. Water sample results came back absent of coliform contamination. the boil water advisory was lifted on July 19, 2024. |
