BMPs and other resouces: (copy and paste cold link below) https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/HEALTHYENVIRONMENTS/DRINKINGWATER/PREPAREDNESS/Pages/index.aspx Update 01/26/2026: Second Bigger Main Break: 24,000 gallon/day leak was still not located late on Friday. Luckily, they were already on a boil order. Unluckily, they were on their way to running out of water late Friday. They kept trying to isolate the leak over the weekend in a race against time. Update 01/27/2026: New water loss estimate: 1,000 gal/hour. They throttled one high-consuming user - and the three downstream of him - to reduce water loss and prevent overall outage. They are still looking for the leak(s). Yet still predicting lifting the boil advisory by Friday. Lifted 01/30/2026: Coliforms were negative this morning. Lifted the Boil Advisory. While it is estimated hundreds of gallons a day are still leaking, they throttled a high-user to be able to keep enough water in the tank to pressurize the water system for now. They have looked high and low and still failed to find the leak. |
