Details: Repeat samples from 9/20 showed 2 positive E.coli and one positive total from 3 dedicated sample stations in distribution. Contacted system and Dale will contact media with Boil water notice info as well as sign boards at the store, school and irrigation office. System will chlorinate reservoir this afternoon to 10ppm and hopes to have zero chlorine residual by Monday to take follow up samples to ensure absent for bacteria. Follow up samples must be absent for any bacteria before lifting boil water notice. Deschutes county staff will assist with informing licensed facilities and ag convenience store of boil water advisory.

Lifted 10/03/2017:  Three follow up samples taken Monday 10/2 representing all areas of the distribution results absent for coliforms. Spoke with operator Dale and he will let users know its ok to use water normally starting 11am today. This was following batch chlorination of the reservoir and distribution and significant flushing. OAWU is assisting in follow up to determine cause.
