I had multiple complaints from residents. Boil water advisory in effect until distribution sample samples are taken and shown absent of bacteria. I texted with Don Baker and asked for the boil advisory and discussed to test. Update 07/24/2018: Follow-up testing was submitted to Edge Analytical in Corvallis today. Results will be available by 11am 7/25/18. If results are absent for bacteria the Boil Water Advisory will be lifted. I spoke to Don Banker this morning to discuss plans for remediating continued system disruptions and aesthetic water quality due to iron and manganese. Update 07/25/2018: I was informed by a resident on Tuesday afternoon that another loss of pressure had occurred. I spoke to an Entera employee DJ Barney and Jason Green. As site prep was occurring for a new home an exposed water main became disconnected possibly due to increased pressure on the system from the new booster pump. DJ said the increased pressure issue was trying to be addressed with Cascade Water Works. The tests submitted for the Monday event are no longer valid. New tests should be submitted for the Tuesday event. When the results are validated we will discuss removal of the boil water advisory. I have received six resident complaints since 7/23/18. I have spoken to Entra staff Don Banker, OHA DWS and Jason Green with OAWU. Lifted 07/28/2018: A break incident occurred on 7/23 and again on 7/24. The break incident on 7/24 negated samples from the 7/23 incident. Three samples were submitted on 7/25, 2/3 were invalidated for excessive chlorine, Three samples submitted on 7/25, 2/3 were again invalidated for excessive chlorine. Jason Green with OAWU was on site 7/27 to review sampling protocols with staff. Two samples submitted on 7/27 and both confirmed absent for bacteria by the lab on 7/28. The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. We will continue to work with Entera the property management company to address aesthetic water quality issues along with Jason Green from OAWU. |
