| Details: | Contacted Terry Hinzman, DRC and Gold hill Public Works Director, regarding the violation for Turbidity Standards Not Met (95 percent NTU). 11 of the 103 compliance turbidity readings were above 0.3 NTU. Terry indicated that staff recorded the 4 hr readings of the wall display incorrectly. Mr. Hinzman submitted a copy of the 4 hr wall recording records. Informed Mr. Hinzman that some of the readings were recorded at the wrong time and not the times listed on the form (i.e., 12 AM, 4 AM, etc.). Requested that he pull the measurements from their SCADA so they match the 4 hr readings on the form. Also, requested that he check the programing in their turbidity meter for data capping at 1.0 NTU since the highest reading for the day never exceeds 1.0 NTU. Also, discussed the failure to collect the required number of routine coliform samples. Mr. Hinzman indicated that the operator responsible for the missed samples is no longer employed by the water system. In response to a telephone message left for Terry Hinzman, City of Gold Hill operator, regarding the violation for turbidity standards not being met, Mr. Hinzman sent an email indicated that he pulled data off their SCADA for the 4 hr readings for the months of August and September. Mr. Hinzman indicated that he would submit the actual 4 hrs readings which could change the percentage of samples that were above 0.3 NTU. |
