| Details: | Emailed Doug that the waiver application submitted to DWS on 12/9/21 could not be granted. The unused well within 100 feet of the Lafayette PWS Well is sealed with drill cuttings, a material no longer accepted and considered suspect. The unused well was identified as a potential sanitary hazard during the 2020 water system survey. This deficiency will be noted as unresolved suggesting a long-term solution. If water quality problems occur with the Lafayette Well, abandoning the unused well may be required. Provided copy of signed waiver form. Refer to 8/18/21 contact report for additional survey deficiency follow-up. Note: During the waiver process, the well logs associated with the OHWA wells were verified with Joel Plahn at Water Resources Department and updated in the DWS database. |
