| Details: | I spoke with Holly about the sample taken on 2-7-22... for radionuclides... Gross Alpha. This sample was taken from a new well that has not been finalized with plan review with the state. This water is not connected to the current drinking water system. Another sample was taken on 5-9-22 by Ken Wood, and taken to Box R Water Labs. Sherri at Box R should get the results back no later than 5-17-22. Sherri said the lab has had some internal/management problems, so the high number may be the result from that. Or, the machines have not been calibrated recently? the lab was 2 months late getting the result to the state and Idleway and the county... so there's something going on there. We will wait until next Tuesday to move forward pending the results. Options if it is a true sampled result will be quarterly monitoring and possibly an R/O system to reduce the Gross Alpha, and it might be lowered when the water is mixed. |
