| Details: | I forwarded the compliance due date notice on 6/6/22. I emailed Jimmy Unquera to check on the required chlorine disinfection installation. The requirement was due to ongoing TC+ test results in the source and distribution system. There were also associated violations for monitoring and reporting. On 6/13/22 I spoke to Jimmy on the phone and he reported that a new well had been drilled. On 6/14/22 I forwarded the plan review application for new well construction. Jimmy stated that premilmary testing showed that the new SRC AB was absent for bacteria. I reminded Jimmy that testing records in SDWIS showed the system testing positive at the source and in the distribution system. We discussed that if chlorine was not to be installed that a year worth of monthly source water assessment monitoring would be required in addition to the routine samples. We discussed getting the plan review in as soon as possible to insure the well was properly constructed and the hazard setbacks were met and I disclosed the application fee. We discussed potential violation accruals for not meeting the disinfection schedule. |
