| Details: | I received a call from the operator of Silver Falls Country Store Water System. The operator called asking if I had received results for the recent repeats and source sample taken in response to TC+ sample generating Alert COLI18342. I stated that I don't typically receive results directly, but that she should be receiving them from the lab. She stated that she set up the lab account and used to receive notices from the lab but did not receive the positive result resulting in COLI18342 and had not received results for the repeats and source sample. We took time to both look at the yourwater.oregon.gov site for the system and familiarized her with many of the helpful features of the site. We were able to see that all repeats and the source all came back TC- and EC-. We then viewed the Sampling Schedule for Coliform page and reviewed how to interpret the schedule. We identified that the system needs to take 3 triggered routine samples in November as a result of the October TC+. Furthermore, we reviewed the Chemical Schedule Details and identified that a Nitrate sample taken from distribution is still required from the system before the end of the calendar year. We then discussed the system's source, its history, source protection methodologies as identified in the recent water system survey, and other related topics. Lastly, I suggested that she reach out to her drinking water lab and ensure that results are sent to her in the future. |
