| Details: | Called and spoke with John about the results of the feasibility study that was conducted for their high Nitrate issue. The study came back and would cost the district at least a million dollars for both recommendations that were offered. The first recommendation was to deepen the wells as to eliminate the nitrates, the other was to install treatment. The challenge for the district is they still can't afford the corrections to the system at a 30% match for a loan or grant. They've spoken with the adjacent farming outfit who has agreed to develop a buffer zone between property lines and farming practices in the hopes that this method may reduce the nitrate concentration. | ||
