| Details: | I spoke with Kathy and Scott McMullen regarding the recent water sample with the Arsenic result that exceeded the MCL. City of Prescott's water system is already currently on a "Do Not Drink" order as of August 28th, 2022. They are on a Quarterly sampling schedule, and also already have four Treatment components (filtration, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, hypochlorination). I asked if perhaps one or more of their treatment components needed maintenance, cleaning or replacement. Scott says that a chemical injection pump failure occurred on their treatment system, which he says was replaced and worked on by Justin. Scott says that this sample, collected on 10/5, would have been collected before the injection pump was replaced. Scott says he will get another Arsenic water sample collected from the system's Entry Point to distribution tomorrow, and have it taken to the lab. That sample should determine the treatment system repair's effectiveness. |
