Details: | Called and left a message with Delora Kerber letting her know that Drinking Water Services received a OERS report (2022-2745) of a spill of a pink substance into a small creek, possibly Glenn Creek, located at Wallace Marine Park in Salem, Oregon. The creek discharges into the Willamette River and is upstream from Wilsonville. I let Delora know that we are trying to find out more information regarding the incident from the City of Salem Public Works Department. A phone message was also left with Keith Male, Engineer and Clackamas Technical Service Contact, regarding the incident. Received a return call from Matt Butcher, City of Salem Stormwater Program, and he indicated that the pink substance might be latex paint. No chemical or solvent smell was associated with the substance. He also thought the incident was not significant enough to impact the Willamette River. A phone message was left with Delora regarding the update to the incident. Keith Male also was informed of the update. |
