| Details: | The complainant contact me on Friday afternoon regarding the E.coli situation at this system. He claims that the owner is telling residents that it isn't really E.coli in the water system but a special bacteria and this has nothing to do with the inground septic system. I confirm with him that the most recent Public Notice was received by the tenants. He claims that he has the current water advisory. I also confirm with him that this is E.coli which means that the water system has fecal contamination and the likely source is the onsite septic system. The owner did send me an email earlier in the week regarding the chlorination system that was recently installed. To date, a special sample nor a monthly routine sample has been submitted. I let the resident know that once we can confirm that the chlorination system is working then the Boil Water notice can be lifted. The tenant claims that he doesn't believe that the owner will be submitting water that is representative of the current situation. We discuss the surrounding residential properties and the the likelihood that these wells are also contaminated. I encourage him to give my contact information to other tenants so that they can contact me with concerns regarding this situation and any misinformation regarding the potable water system that is fecally contaminated. | ||
