Details: | Spoke with Delora about the recent alerts for Pentachlorophenol and Xylenes. Suggested she determine first that the samples were from the entry point, then collect confirmation samples. Discussed Pentachlorophenol result of 0.00043, just above the detection limit. If the average of January result and the confirmation sample are below the detection limit, then it appears that Wilsonville may be able to return to regular sampling. The Xylenes result was 0.001 and the detection limit is 0.0005. It seems that the result of the confirmation sample would need to be ND in order to avoid increased sampling. If either confirmation brings the average above the detection limit, the water system will need to sample quarterly for at least 4 quarters. Then if the results are reliably and consistently below the maximum contaminant level, the water system may be eligible to reduce to annually, with no further reductions possible. |
