| Details: | We sent the operator an email: "Sheldon, The OHA automated database alerted us yesterday to violations at Cascade Locks Public Water System: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/violsum.php?pwsno=00172 – 3/14/23. It appears that the recent Radiological (RAD) Water quality monitoring in November, 2022, will partly resolve violations #900592047 & #900592052; however, all violations will not be fully ‘Returned-To-Compliance’ until the analyte ‘GROSS ALPHA, EXCLUDING RA & U’ is also tested. Your recent RAD tests appear below: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/chemlatest.php?pwsno=00172 – 3/14/23 To return to compliance, during the first calendar quarter of 2023 (by the end of March), perform water quality monitoring for: • GROSS ALPHA, EXCLUDING RA & U, • RADIUM, COMBINED (226, 228), and • URANIUM, COMBINE. Continue monitoring for these analytes according to the online schedule for Cascade Locks public water system: https://yourwater.oregon.gov/schedule_status.php?pwsno=00172 – 3/14/23 Please let me know if you have any questions..." The operator called us back and notified us that all three analytes were tested in November 2022. It appears that the 'Gross Alpha' result failed to get recorded in the online database. We advised the operator to re-submit the results to OHA-DWS. While the results may be counted as late (also a DWS violation), at least all of the quarterly samples will be recorded for credit. |
